1300 Training Center/Training Organization:

“Are responsible for the proper administration and quality of ECC Courses as well as the day to day of their local training network. This day-to-day management includes providing all of their Instructors Training Sites with consistent and timely communication of any new or updated information about National Regional, or TC/TO policies, procedures, course content, or course administration, that could potentially affect an Instructor in carrying out his/her responsibilities.

The TC/TO is considered the principal informational resource, support, and quality control for all AHA ECC Instructors.

A place where you get stuff, like, manikins, books, course completion cards but most importantly you can get help & support.

Required to maintain complete Instructor Activity records and transfer those records within 30 days of an Instructor’s request.

TC/TO Personnel:

Regional Faculty, assigned by the Regional ECC Committee for Quality Assurance

TC/TO Coordinator, assigned by the TC/TO to act as its representative with the AHA

TC/TO Faculty, assigned by the TC/TO Coordinator to conduct quality Instructor courses and assist with quality assurance at a TC/TO level.



1315 What are our responsibilities as AHA Instructors?

• Affiliate with an Authorized TC/TO

• Complete an authorized AHA Instructor course and initial monitoring

• Teach 4 courses every 2 years

• Recertification, once every two years

• Monitor successfully in the conducting of a course during the 2 year certification

• Complete Rollouts/Updates as required by the AHA

• Comply with all guidelines established by AHA & your TO

• Support Chain of Survival Events

• Be the consummate professional

What are our rights as an AHA Instructor properly affiliated with an authorized TC/TO?

• Access to the most current and evolved ACLS curriculum on Earth

• Sufficient opportunity & material to Instruct in order to meet AHA requirements
