IV Therapy and Fluid Management Certification Course
Welcome to the Saving American Hearts IV Therapy and Fluid Management Certification Course.
This course is a total of 60 hours and is achieved via three classroom sessions totaling 24 hours and 20 hours of pre-course self study and 16 hours of clinical laboratory.
This course is designed for LPN's and others who require IV Certification for their jobs.

Instructions for use
Anatomy and Physiology
Fluid and Electrolyte Balance
IV Tubing Line Setup
IV Fluid Calculations
IV Tubing Change Frequency
Skin Care and infection control
Peripheral IV Insertion
Equipment Techniques in Venipuncture
Troubleshooting IV Infusion
Discontinuing IV Therapy
Complications of IV Therapy
The classroom portion is a two day course totaling 16 hours. Each student must successfully start 10 IVs as well as discontinue them and pass all skills competency testing before the certification is issued.
Upon successful completion of the course and the hands on skill practice and testing, students will receive a certificate for the course.
